The basic material is short textile fibres. In the flock-coating process, the article to be flocked is first coated with
adhesive. Next, the fibres are vertically inserted into the adhesive with the help of an electro-static field in accordance
with the field lines. The result is an even, well alligned, velvet-like surface. The acceleration of the fibres through
electro-static causes them to go deep into the adhesive, giving a rub-resistant hold.
